Discussion:
Wrong FF URL?

It may be a bug because the Internet Exploder gets it "right", but
when I visit http://www.voetveren.nl and select "Lijst per provincie"
in the left frame, under the yellow header "Veerponten", FF hides the
real URL. If I drag&drop it, the URL of the WPS object will become
http://www.voetveren.nl instead of
http://www.voetveren.nl/veerponten.htm. Unless I used a direct link.

When http://www.voetveren.nl/sub-overzicht/overijssel.htm is used as a
dirct link, is there a FF-way to obtain the full URL of the webpage
the blue bike icon in the top left corner of the map, under the D of
"FRIESLAND", is referring to (it's the same URL as the
"Oldemarkt-Oldetrijne" link in the left frame? The URL I'm looking for
is ...

http://www.voetveren.nl/sub-overzicht/detail/Ov-0012.htm

... but is there a FF-way to obtain such an URL? AFAIK the Internet
Exploder shows it as "Info", "Properties" or "Details". But FF seems
to use http://www.voetveren.nl everywhere, so long as a direct link
isn't used (which is not possible, because I don't know the URL, I'm
trying to find out what the URL is and "javascript:C('Ov-0012')"
hardly helps)? Is FF wrong her, am I overlooking an obvious source, or
is the Internet Exploder not respecting standards (I'm pretty sure
that'll be a first!).

Solved: RMB, last option, last option. This shows the full URL.
Perhaps the language pack made it harder than needed.
Dragging&dropping also doesn't work with the Internet Exploder, which
also created a link to the main page http://www.voetveren.nl.

With Links/2 it's harder to get there indirectly:

"The requested URL /sub-overzicht/javascript:C('Ov-0012') was not
found on this server."

Works for me (correct second URL), using SeaMonkey, when dragging from
the link in the left column. But I think what you are complaining about
is that they use frames, which in this case means that the URL in the
location bar does not change.

No, because when you access it directly, their Javascript does not work;
it expects the frames to be used:

Error: parent.parent.frames.main is undefined
Source File: http://www.voetveren.nl/js/veerpont.js
Line: 113

As you already discovered, you can use the frame menu options in the RMB
menu to do stuff.

Correct. No RFC as such, I just wanted to avoid having to launch some
Internet Exploder to obtain an underlying URL. When you dragged the
page, storing any of the links/frames further down the chain seemed to
have even more use, but so far all browsers store the unchanged URL.

The word "frame" was translated to the misleading "Part(ial )window"
("Deelvenster"), which is a bit forced, while "frame" is a fine
"leenwoord" (word borrowed (from a foreign language)).
