Firefox question

I gather that recent releases of Firefox for OS/2 have been built by
different people. I'm wondering if they all start from the same code
base?

The reason I ask is because several versions ago, some modifications
were made involving the frequent loading and unloading of a DLL that
had the effect of eventually killing audio on my system. I had the
same problem while using version 10.0.2 recently. Is it because
that version of Firefox was built from a different code base that
doesn't include the earlier fix, or was the killing of my audio
related to some other problem?

By the way, the README.OS2 file needs to be updated. In the version
10.0.5 package, it still says:

3. INSTALL 'libc063.dll' into one of the directories on your "LIBPATH"

After I did that, Firefox wouldn't run because it wanted libc065.dll.

Yes.

If I remember correctly, Rich Walsh had a patch for that. Whether that
ever got into version control, or if Dave Yeo includes it in his builds,
I do not know for certain. Due to a lack of manpower, a lot of patches
that should have been submitted upstream haven't made it yet; the longer
they wait, the more that they need further updates.

We have attempted to, which isn't to say mistakes haven't been made. eg
Firefox 10-10.03 accidently included an experimental patch which broke
the focus. And of course with the rapid release schedule, the Firefox
code has changed quite a bit between each release.

See if the problem continues with 10.05.

Sorry, that was overlooked. Now fixed locally.

A bit too rapid for my tastes. Firefox on Windows keeps asking me
if it should restart after a security and stability update has been
installed. Fortunately, it doesn't require rebooting, but it does
interrupt web browsing.

So far, so good, but the problem doesn't usually manifest itself until
the system has been up for a while, and it's only been 8 days since
the previous reboot, which was done to fix the audio issue and switch
from 10.0.2 to 10.0.5.
