Warp Connect
Perhaps you could give Stardock's newsserver and their OS/2 newsgroup
a try, if that still exists, instead of an off-topic
ecomstation-newsgroup?

FWIW: apparently you do know that a key is involved, so someone may be
willing to send you a "backup" copy without having to fully sell their
own copy. I don't own this CD, nor was I aware of the fact that a key
was required.

Hey,
I own eCS 1.2, 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2. I also own Warp 2.0. 2.1, Warp 3,
Connect and 4, so anything I say about OS/2 is not off topic. I am
looking for software to run on all my machines.

There was no need to lie. You've mentioned "Warp Connect" there. Good
for you. Full c.o.o.e-quote, FWIW:

--- 8X ---
Looking to replace this long lost CD for my Warp Connect? Used it all

the time with my Warp Installation.
--- 8X ---

Meanwhile I did find a few unused (and unverified) registration keys
for SOD in an old INF file. But because you claim that Warp Connect
and your lost Warp Installation-software is relevant in an eCS
operating system newsgroup, I'll demote your digital sanity by not
sharing any.

Well, perhaps someone else has helped you by now.

an off-topic ecomstation-newsgroup?

ecomstation????

Great, even more off-topic messages. Possibly some joke is lost in
translation, but I didn't type "this ecomstation-newsgroup", FWIW. He
did use c.o.o.e too, FWIW.

No matter what, no newsgroup falls under any other newsgroup. If the
list of newsgroups of an important usenet service provider is anything
to go by, then its users can introduce any new newsgroup by using its
name.

I won't try it, but I should be able to introduce your
comp.os.ecomstation.os2 by using it. IRL most new newsgroups will be
typos of users. Apparently anarchy replaced your ancient hierarchy,
FWIW.

Anyway, please contact him if you still have a copy of the CD(s) in
question.

Probably since ecomstation included a copy of OS/2 to run on.

So for what you're looking? I think that it could be Stardock's Object
Desktop for OS/2.

Yes, Stardock Object Desktop 2.0, or even 1.5, with the key. I used it
all the time, and it got lost in my move from FL to TX, along with a lot
of my old software. Filed a claim, but once it is gone, it is gone! Do
you have a copy for sale?

Unfortunately I have only the german language version of the pre-release
and 1.5 here. I don't know if it's possible to make an american language
version of it by updating with latest fixes from Stardock.

I have a copy of OD 1.5 with Registration card and Manual in a rather
tatty box.

I have no idea if the 3 1.44Mb diskettes are even readable - I no longer
have a 3.5 floppy drive. I will try to borrow a system with some sort of
floppy drive over the weekend and test the diskettes.

Send me an email if interested and we can discuss price/postage.

You could consider to send images of the diskettes, to avoid both
costs and risks related to sending diskettes, and you can backup those
files ijnstead of physical diskettes too.
