Hello all,

The newest Seamonkey for OS/2 version I found at this time on the
Mozilla FTP site is 2.5, while the latest windows version is 2.10.1

Are there newer versions available for OS/2?
If so, where are they and why are they not on the Mozilla FTP site?

Thank you!

The current Seamonkey build is 2.7.2 which you can find here
ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/incoming/mozilla/seamonkey-2.7.2.en-US.os2.10.5esr.zip

Not sure why they are not on the Mozilla site... Possibly an access to
site problem.

Hi Pete,

Thanks for the info, I'll also check the Netlabs site for Seamonkey
updates in the future.

Can someone explain the difference between the following two packages:

seamonkey-2.7.2.en-US.os2.zip
seamonkey-2.7.2.en-US.os2.10.5esr.zip

Thanks!

seamonkey-2.7.2.en-US.os2.zip
seamonkey-2.7.2.en-US.os2.10.5esr.zip
The first is the original release of version 2.7.2, and corresponds to
releases on other platforms. The second is from the "Extended Support
Release" (ESR) branch, and is based on Gecko 10.0.5 (like Firefox
10.0.5). The SeaMonkey project does not do releases from the ESR
branch, but as the OS/2 version is behind on the latest code base, that
is the only way to get security updates. Hence the version number is
the same, but it has additional fixes in it (including some
OS/2-specific fixes).
