Okay, I finally got my Norman to download updates via the internet (it
didn't like the ID Norman gave me.) Now, I have a Norman download
directory full of .zip files (more than 10 - some dated today, some dated
10-03, apparently the last time I got the internet update to work.) What
do I do with them? I had thought NVC would download and do whatever is
necessary with the files.

On a related note, I still have McAfee's Virus Scan for OS/2, as they
still provide dat files for version 4 of their scanner. I've always
scanned manually from a command line. Should I have McAfee or Norman set
as resident, and, if so, how would I do it with McAfee? I've not had a
virus problem (knock wood), and I never read email the rare times I boot
to Win98 (I do it maybe once a week so I can use Realaudio with
Mozilla-win to play video and audio clips.)

It does - but it seems to leave them around.

No, don't delete them. If you delete them the next internet update will
download them again. That's normal.

Is there any way to control where those files are placed-- mine seem
to end up in the "temp" directory and I like to keep that directory
empty

What state are the norman utilities telling you? Normally there should
be "INSTALLED".

It does-- as recently as this morning. Can I erase the nvc11
directory in my "temp" area?
